Frontline Walk 2016 · 5 October 2016 to 9 October 2016 ·

We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

In October 2016 I am taking on The Frontline Walk, an epic 100km trek over three days tracing the Western Front along Northern France and Belgium. The Walk marks the Centenary of the Battle of the Somme, in which over 1,000,000 Commonwealth, French and German soldiers wounded or killed.

The Walk starts at the Lochnagar Crater, created by an explosion at 07:28 on the 1st July 1916, signalling the start of the Battle of the Somme,  and finishes at the Menin Gate with the Ceremony of the Last Post.

It's going to be tough but I'm doing this to raise money for a very important cause. All of the money raised is going to ABF The Soldiers' Charity. The Soldiers’ Charity give lifetime support to soldiers, veterans and their immediate families. They provide financial assistance to those in real need. That’s what they been here to offer for 70 years.

Thank you for your support.
