So, i am competing in Ironman Zurich 2014 on 27th July this year! Whilst many of the reasons i am taking part are to achieve some of my own personal goals, i think it is also an excellent opportunity for me to raise some money for a really good cause. 

For those that dont know, Ironman is an endurance triathlon - 2.4mile swim, 110 mile bike ride and then run a marathon..as fast as possible! The main goal is to get over the finish line, but i will be aiming for a total time around 12 hours.

Isaacs House is a charity which our family has been involved with for the last few years. It aims to support children affected by war, HIV and poverty in Uganda. They provide the children with a safe place to live, regular food, clothing, healthcare, education, as well as a place they can call home! My sister hannah has spent some time over in Uganda and has experienced first hand the amazing work this charity is doing and the effect it has on many young childrens lives.
