Why are we doing this? With your support, we are keen to continue to help break down the stigma around mental health and bring awareness to the services MIND offers to those in need.

MIND is a mental health charity in England and Wales which offers information and advice to people suffering with their mental health and lobbies government and local authorities on their behalf.

• 84 men take their own lives each week in the UK.
• 1 in 4 people in the UK are effected by their mental health in any given year.
• Suicide is the leading cause of death in the UK for young adults under the age of 35.

"On Sunday 25th June 2023 we lost our wonderful, kind loving son Huw, who had been suffering in silence with his mental health for the past few years after being medically discharged from the Royal Navy following an accident on board a ship. Like many young men he felt unable to disclose his feelings to those close to him, but eventually following the break down of his marriage, he did seek help from his Doctor. His Doctor put him in touch with MIND and a local counsellor helped Huw to open up to close family and friends. By donating to this charity, we know that essential support can be continued to those requiring it. Huw’s absence leaves a void that cannot be filled and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts."

The funds raised by this campaign are dedicated in the memory of Huw Bishop.
