Adam's 12 marathons in 12 months

12 marathons in 12 months · 23 January 2019
After an extended sabbatical from serious running and 10 years since I ran across the Atacama for charity I have decided that I am well overdue a running challenge! Therefore, in 2019 I’ll be running a marathon in each calendar month. While this wouldn’t have been so daunting 10 years ago I can assure you that now, with those extra ‘miles’ on the clock plus two small insomniac children to deal with, it will be demanding enough! For the running geeks full schedule is below...
I have decided to raise money through this challenge for Centrepoint. Homelessness is sadly an uncomfortable and visible reality of living in London or other large cities in the UK - shockingly more than 100,000 young people asked for help with homelessness in 2017/18. Centrepoint is a charity focusing on supporting young homeless people in London and other large cities in the UK – amazingly it manages to help 10,000 young people each year who become homeless for many different reasons including violence, abuse, families breaking up and mental health problems. Centrepoint tell us that young people often become homeless because it is safer to leave home than to stay – I find this very sad.

So, please chip in whatever you can for this great charity working hard to help young people in circumstances which for most of us are really difficult to even imagine.
