A Day for Wesleyan · 28 June 2019 to 17 September 2019 ·

NC Wesleyan has 14 Mens and Womens NCAA Division III teams competing for a championship each year. The Athletics Fund helps provide student-athletes with resources and equipment needed to succeed in their games and in the classroom

Story

From the early years of the men’s soccer program, Wesleyan has relied on donor contributions to help outfit our players, perform work on the playing field, and purchase new equipment. Donor support is fundamental in creating a competitive soccer program, preparing young men for life, and creating an exciting training environment. All of this helps to attract new recruits, too.

2020 is no different, and we are looking forward to restocking in several areas which require substantial donor support. Our current wish list includes the following:

  • Extra sets of Soccer Balls
  • More Practice Goals
  • New Practice Apparel & Travel Gear
Again, these items allow us to train hard, keep warm, and travel more comfortably. They directly contribute to the overall playing environment, performance, and experience of the NC Wesleyan Battling Bishops’ Men’s Soccer team.
Special Wish list – Purchase Championship Rings! Since winning our conference championship last Fall, we would like to purchase championship rings for the players to serve as a representation of the hard work and sacrifice invested into last season. While not necessary to the everyday function of our program, like the items listed above, these rings will serve a deeper purpose … reminding us that we should always be striving for a positive team culture as we work to sustain a high level of performance both on and off the field. Now, and for years to come.
  • Championship Rings - $4,500 total ($150 each)

Finally, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support. From those whom I’ve been in touch with, it was a pleasure to hear that not only our successes, but the way in which we preformed and behaved, made you proud to be an alumni of this wonderful program. Knowing that you are keeping track of our progress makes our work worthwhile. In fact, it is an important reminder that we are not only playing for ourselves, but playing for a cause that is bigger than just us - we are playing for all of you.

It is a privilege to be writing you as the head coach and leader of this program, and to wish you good health this new year.

Meir Lewin
Head Coach, NC Wesleyan Men’s Soccer
