World Cancer Day takes place on Sunday 4th February 2018, which looks to raise awareness of cancer, and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment. Cancer Research are holding their annual 10K Winter Run in London on the same day to help share the message further... and I've accepted the challenge!

Cancer Research UK is one of the four main charities that Oracle supports and we're entering a team to take part in the race to raise money for the cause which affects so many people in all different ways. Alongside this, we will also be selling unity bands in many of our UK offices, which you can buy from the restaurants.

Winter Run

The Winter Run is an 10K running event taking place along an iconic central London closed-road route. I'm hoping to take in the sights on the way; starting at Trafalgar Square alongside over 16,000 runners of all abilities, looping around to St Paul’s Cathedral and finishing by Whitehall. I'm pretty sure the highlight will be partying with the penguins out on the course and meeting the cuddly polar bears as they greet me at the finish line! :)
