On 6th October 2017, a team from Adecco Group UK will endeavour to carry 200kg to the summit of Ben Nevis.
Our challenge has been inspired by the fantastic work that Mary's Meals do in feeding over 1.2 million children each day in school.
For some of the world's most challenged regions, the simple task of giving a child at least one meal per day can seem impossible. Mary's Meals solution is simple - build local eco systems through local businesses that generate food for the children. They believe that education is one of the main foundations in helping those communities to build a better life for themselves - and therefore their model is simply to provide each child a meal on the basis that they attend school.
Our challenge has been taken from the work that Mary's Meals does at Chaone School in Malawi. The nearest that they can deliver the food for the school is three miles away, at the bottom of a hill. Each delivery is met by the local women from the community that carry the 20kg sacks up the hill to the school before cooking the food for the children.
Our team plans to replicate this by carrying 200kg to the top of Ben Nevis. This represents enough food to feed 700 children for one week. Our hope is to raise enough money to feed these same children for a whole year by raising £9,800.
Every £13.90 we raise feeds a child for a whole year - our target is to feed at least 700.

We would be hugely grateful for any donations that you could contribute towards our target - this really is our opportunity to make a big difference to 700 children that really need our help.
Thanks for all your support.
