Story

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

Verily, to Allah we belong and verily, to Him we shall return.

Assalamualaykum,

The 25th of May was the day written for our beautiful brother to be returned back to his Lord. Adeel, whom was known for having the most purest soul. A character so full of life and laughter, has left us with nothing but beautiful memories to cherish. He absolutely adored his family and friends. If anyone had the privilege of knowing him they would understand the feeling of being loved and protected whilst in his presence. He was a hard working young man and always put his deen first before anything as we all know, worldly affairs are a distraction and not to be chased. Adeel was a man who constantly reminded his loved ones the importance of remembering our Lord and to not get too attached to this world.

Alhamdulillah, 12 weeks before Adeel passed away he had the honor of performing Umrah and being the guest in the house of Allah amongst his family. He took the chance of seeking forgiveness for mortal sins and cleansing his soul by performing Umrah piously. We thank Allah for giving Adeel the opportunity to strengthen his devotion towards Islam and increasing his Imaan. Adeel mentioned when returning from Umrah, it was the best experience he ever had and wanted to go back very soon. However, the Almighty had other plans and wanted Adeel even more closer to him. He was indeed a huge inspiration to us all.

We have decided to organise a 5km walk in order to fundraise for many water wells to be built in Adeels name. Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah reported: I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?' The prophet (SAWS) said: 'Yes.' I said, 'Which charity is best?' The prophet said, 'A drink of water.'

The walk will be taking place on the 24th of September and the finish line of the walk will be set at Icknield High School, as for many people this is where their relationship with Adeel had stemmed from. Many memories were created in the years Adeel had attended Icknield and after a conversation with the school, we agreed this would be a special place to complete the walk. The full route of the walk has not been confirmed yet however, look out for updates on the fundraiser page or RAHIN_R1 ‘s Instagram page.

Please if we can ask you to kindly donate what you can towards this act of Sadaqah for Adeel. Most importantly keep Adeel in your upmost Duas. We ask Allah to forgive Adeel for any shortcomings, to enlarge and enlighten his grave. We pray Adeel reaps the benefits of you all giving towards this Sadaqah Jaariya. May Allah bless you all. Ameen.
