At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the forth year in a row I have taken part in the Allendale Challenge.  The first year I wasn't quite aware what I was letting myself in for and took over 14 hours to complete and was officially last to finish.  The second year I was better and finished in 10 hours to the organisers content.  The third I wasn't fit enough due to recently having a baby and I crossed/shuffled over the finish line just under 13 hours - again officially last. It takes some doing finishing last -especially twice but if anyone can do it, I can.  I'm determined even if I have to crawl it.  I  just want to finish as soon as possible so I can spend more time in the pub at the end xx

Last year was my first ever Great North Run, I didnt complete it in any sort of record time but I loved ever minute of it.  Such an amazing feeling it was.  This year my goal is just to take part, finish and raise as much money as possible for my charity.

I've chosen to support this great charity again for the second year running. My mother has always spoken highly of this charity who supported my parents  many years ago in their time of need when my sister was poorly and times were difficult.  This charity is amazing but needs our help and support to enable them to assist  sufferers and families in their time of need.  Dig deep please every penny counts!!

£50 could pay for 20 copies of a magazine for children aged 7 to 13 supportive them whilst in hospital helping them feel less isolated.

£100 could pay for nearly 4 hours of a Clic Sargent nurses time helping to maximise the time children can spend safely at home.

£300 could fund a grant to help a bereaved family pay for a child funeral.

£860 could pay for a social worker supporting children and Young people and their families to cope with the impact of a cancer diagnosis on their lives.

£1000 could pay for a family to pay for a home from home stay - close to where their child is receiving treatment.

£2500  could pay for 14 young people to take part in a residential weekend where they can meet others with similar experiences .
