Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 29th March 2020 on behalf of Parkinson’s UK, a charity that is particularly close to my heart as my Grandad passed away in 2018 after suffering for 10 years with disease.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder.
Sufferers experience tremor, muscle rigidity and a slowing of movement. Sometimes we take for granted the simple things such as the ability to pick up a glass of water, but these tasks can be a huge struggle for someone with Parkinson’s. Parkinson’s disease does not only affect movement, some of the lesser known symptoms include excessive sleepiness and depression. There is no cure for Parkinson’s, but there is ongoing research to try to better manage the disease. It is for this reason that I am asking you kindly to donate whatever you can to Parkinson’s.

Thank you lovely people in advance for sponsoring me on
behalf of Parkinson’s UK.
