Event: Simplyhealth Great South Run 2018, on 21 October 2018
We raise additional funds to enhance patient care and support staff

Story

So crazy me has decided to run the great south run this year..... HELP.

I will be running for the renal unit at Portsmouth QA hospital. I know it shows my charity as the portsmouth hospital charity but this is th charity number i have to use as the renal unit does not have a seperate charity.

As most of you know my dad is a renal patient and is currently waiting on a transplant for a new kidney as he has to do dialysis 4 times a day 7 times a week. Without this his body would not be able to get rid of all the waste products like us with functioning kidneys can do. It has been a very tough couple of years with dad becoming quit poorly on occasion. But the dedication and hard work of the renal team helps not only him with making a recovery but us as family and friends who worry so much about him. I am hoping to reach at least £500 to go towards this for my dad as he is actually raising funds himself for the renal unit this year as he is top officer of the buffs.

Any support is greatly appreciated.
