Family and friends of Guy Francis will be running the York 10k in his memory and to raise funds to fulfil his wish. This was that research should be carried out into the bone cancer that he had so that the outcome can be improved for future sufferers. Bone cancer frequently occurs in teenagers and often involves a sports injury but there was and still is, no government funding for research in this country.
