As'salamu Aleikum Friends and Supporters. 

This is our first EVER fundraising campaign and we are somewhat nervous.  

We benefited immensely this Ramadhan from the fantastic educational programmes provided by a grassroots charity called Knowledge to Action. We were really inspired how they transform lives through  education and character building activities: we were particularly inspired by the team’s hard work and drive to help disadvantaged families, schools and madrasahs during the lockdown. 

Knowledge to Action is a small but mighty organisation; their vision is to nurture a generation of confident and responsible Muslims who will benefit society through strong character and social entrepreneurship. Their mission is to make high quality character development and life skills education affordable and accessible to more educators, parents and learners. 

Good character and education is key to leading a successful life. That is why we as a family have decided to help raise money to further their cause; we aim to raise £1,500 which will sponsor learning packs, resources and training support for 100 struggling families and 20 schools and madrasahs. Whilst we count ourselves fortunate, we know that many other children cannot afford and access the same opportunities that many of us take for granted. Empathy is what the Prophet (pbuh) taught us when he said "...wish for others what you wish yourself". 

The charity relies on the support and generosity of the community and supporters who help fund their work and keep them innovating. Many children, parents and educators are struggling due to COVID-19 and We must support grassroots educational charities like Knowledge to Action.
