Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and thank you to those who supported my previous challenges to raise money for Diabetes UK.

2018: 23 miles across the English Channel

2019: 57 miles across Scotland between Fort William and Inverness

2020: 50 miles along the Ohio River

2021: 100 miles on all the lakes of the English Lake District where I had permission (13 of 17)

In May 2022, with the support of my brothers Tim Angell and Stephen Angell, I'll be paddling 220 miles across England from the west coast to the east coast. The paddle will start at the Bristol Channel, go up the River Avon to Bristol, to join the Kennett and Avon Canal, which I'll follow to Reading. The Kennett and Avon Canal meets the River Thames in Reading, which I'll follow through London to finish in Southend-on-Sea. This paddle takes the physical and logistical challenge to the next level!

Diabetes UK funds pioneering, world-class research into all forms of diabetes and its complications. The results of this research can improve the lives of people with diabetes all over the globe, including several friends and family members who are living with diabetes.

Thank you for your donation on the occasion of this latest challenge. 220 miles is by far the furthest I'll have paddled and I appreciate your support for this worthy cause.
