Raise is proud to support an exciting new facility at Watford General Hospital which will enable children to be cared for closer to home and will improve the care provided to adult patients.
Your support will help Raise fund a much needed new interventional radiology (IR) suite.
Interventional radiology is a minimally invasive procedure, performed by highly skilled doctors, to diagnose and treat various diseases.
The hospital has a small IR team but it shares its space and equipment. This means that IR can’t always be offered to patients and so they may need to be treated elsewhere or have their procedure carried out in traditional, more invasive ways. Also, because there is limited space, we cannot treat children as they need a dedicated paediatric recovery space.
Your help could change that! Our dream is for patients to have a tailor-made IR suite so that they can be treated locally and recover in comfort.
The hospital already has a great IR team – all it needs now is a great space for them!
