Story

Last year, a very good school-friend of mine had just nursed her husband through cancer only to find that she, herself had a brain tumour.  She went through surgery and chemotherapy, which makes me shudder just to think of.  Ultimately and sadly she lost the battle and passed away in June of this year leaving a heartbroken husband and 2 grown-up children.  So, as a mark of thanks for all the support she received in her last days and weeks from St Wilfrid's Hospice, I have decided to take on the Inflatable 5k event at Goodwood on September 2nd.  Now, I run 5k on a regular basis, albeit quite slowly.  However, this is a whole new ball game, well run!!  Being a plumber, my knees are knackered and I drink too much tea and eat too many biscuits to really make this anything other than really hard work!  I hope you will sponsor me and support this wonderful hospice who you will, undoubtedly have heard of through friends and family.  The St Wilf's blurb is below for you to read.  Please sponsor me, if you can afford to.
