Great North Run 2023 · 10 September 2023 ·

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our justGiving page.

We're both running the GNR 2023 together (in unexpectedly hot temperatures!) in just 3 days’ time for the MNDA - The Motor Neurone Disease association.

A lovely friend of ours - Janine - was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease just before Christmas 2022 - and our call to action is best summed up in Janine's own quote…

“I just wanted to inform my lovely friends and family that on Thursday I was diagnosed with MND. I don’t want you to feel sorry for me because I am living a good life and will fight it. I’m going on medical trials to help slow down the process as a cure is not far away. I want you all to think about raising money for MND research... I believe in living for the present moment.”

So we know times are tough right now but please have a rummage in between the cushions on your sofa/through your trouser pockets and donate any loose change/a fiver/whatever, to help the MNDA keep fighting the good fight for people living with Motor Neurone Disease - improving their access to care and funding research which is vital when we genuinely are getting very close to an actual cure.

Thank you!
