Story
This year the Rambling Pots are skydiving instead of walking to help raise funds for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. We will be part of a national event, with groups of us jumping on the same day country wide, whilst hopefully raising funds for the charity, as well as ticking an item off the wish list of things to do😃 We need to reach a minimum target to help, and hope you can help us to meet this.
My wife Kath is a Neuroendocrine Cancer (NET) patient diagnosed in June 2015, and we both strongly believe she still has a full life to live, with plenty of new experiences and opportunities along the way; with skydive being one of them.
Kath has a Neuroendocrine primary tumour in her small intestine, which has metastasised to the liver and peritoneum wall, as well as various lymph nodes. It cannot be cured, and she is currently not a candidate for surgery. Kath lives with pain and various other symptoms on a daily basis, but medication along with regular tests and scans help to keep things manageable most of the time.
The NCUK charity is a life savour for Kath and myself as well as so many others. Providing support and information for both patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness and influencing improvements in outcomes.
