Nerve Tumours UK provides support and information, as well as campaigns and raises awareness on behalf of over 26,500 people in the UK who have NF, the group name for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), NF2-related-Schwannomatosis (NF2) and Schwannomatosis (SWN).

Story

After completing the London marathon last month, I now will be taking on something completely new to me, the Ride London 100 mile round trip through Essex. Not normally a cyclist, I wanted to take on something big that would add more time to my fundraising as it’d been cut short when they returned the marathon back to April.

A member of my family has NF1, and I'm invested in helping the charity that supports people who suffer from this little known condition. I'm supporting Nerve Tumours UK because their mission means a great deal to me. They provide crucial support to people living with the Neurofibromatoses- the conditions that cause nerve tumours. They are dominant genetic conditions, which means that they can be passed on in families from one generation to the next through genetic inheritance. Similarly, about half of nerve tumours cases recorded have no previous family history of the condition. In other words, it can occur totally “out of the blue”.Please help me bolster their support.
