Together with our supporters, Barts Charity is there for patients and families in East London – through it all. We support pioneering research and the wellbeing of our brilliant NHS staff. We help to refurbish wards and provide Barts Health hospitals with the very best equipment.

Story

In the depths of the pandemic, my wife Hilary - who many of you know - was diagnosed with cancer. She's battled valiantly through over 18 months of treatment, an ordeal that has been made bearable due to the amazing efforts of the teams at St Barts and Royal London hospitals. It's for them that I'm taking on two physical challenges (which both have rather odd names):

  • Fortitude - 65km run
  • Hyrox - a circuit event (8km of running, 8 "activities")

I'm doing all of this to raise as much money as possible for Barts Charity to support the amazing hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust (St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham).

Your donation will help make things better for patients and staff, by funding things like state-of-the-art equipment, innovative healthcare projects or ground-breaking medical research. Thank you for your support. Together, we can make extraordinary healthcare happen.
