Story
I am running the London Marathon on 17th April 2011 to raise money for young people (The Yoof) from my church, to go to Uganda to work with two charities : Cherish Uganda and Watoto.
Here is a little bit more about the two charities that they will be working with :
Cherish Uganda : Cherishing children with HIV/AIDS. Embracing them with a future pomise. The thing that drives Cherish is a passion for children; allowing them to enjoy their childhood, to be cared for, to live for as long as possible. With proper care and medication, there is every reason to believe that this will be a long and full life. (www.cherishuganda.org)
Watoto : Rescue Raise Rebuild. Rescue an individual. Raise each one as a leader in their chosen sphere of life. So that they in turn will Rebuild their nation. Watoto exists to raise the next generation of African leaders, by pursuing excellence in academic and practical skills, integrity in conduct and moral values, so that each one becomes a responsible Christian and productive citizen.
