Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to skydive from 15000 feet to raise money for Sands a neo natal death society charity, in memory of my beautifil perfect son Ethan George Downie, who sadly died two weeks before he was due to be born. I had always wanted a son, to compliment my two beautiful daughters, but Ethan was not for this world, and we will never know why.

Ethans death has affected my wife and I, and my two daughters in a way that is almost beyond words, and we struggle still to this day, rarely a day goes by when i am not reduced to tears through thinking of what happened. The experience of burying my beautiful boy will haunt me forever.

Jumping out of a plane is a small thing compared to the anguish my wife suffered when she was told that the baby that she was still carrying had died, and that she would have to go home and come back next week to deliver our dead son.

We left hospital with nothing but grief and sadness, we never heard our son breathe or cry, and never had the chance to see him grow up.

We have him in our hearts now and he will stay there forever, as loved as much as our other children.

If you are a parent, brother or sister please reflect on the sad tragic loss of losing a child, and help me to raise money for a good cause.

So please dig deep and donate now.
