Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Against my better judgement I am running the Guernsey Marathon on Sunday 30th August. Those of you that know me well will know that distance running has never really been my strength, so this has been quite a tough slog preparing to complete the 26.2 mile course. I am currently up to 20 miles as my longest run and averaging in excess of 40 miles a week. So after the sores, blisters and even a trip to A&E, I am almost ready for the big day.

Through running the marathon I am hoping to raise money for the Anothy Nolan Trust. The Anthony Nolan Trust takes back lives from leukaemia by:

*Managing and recruiting new donors to the UK's most successful bone marrow register

*Encouraging more young men and people from a diversity of ethnic backgrounds to join its register

*Conducting pioneering research into the treatment of bone marrow disorders and improving the effectiveness of bone marrow transplants

The Anthony Nolan Trust is an independent charity.  It continually relies on financial support from individuals and companies.

A bone marrow donor can personally save a life
