Story
Our world was turned upside down when our 17-month old son, Zohan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on 6th July, 2025. Overnight, life became about insulin and round-the-clock care. It has been heartbreaking to watch our baby go through something so big at such a young age when he has all his life ahead of him. We can’t comprehend the number of pricks and injections he has had since then.
Type 1 diabetes is lifelong (until there is a cure, and we are praying day in day out for a cure 🙏🏻). Every meal, every snack, every bedtime—his diabetes must be managed. It never goes away, not even for a moment.
But Zohan is so brave. With his insulin pump, his “Little Helper”, he can laugh, play and enjoy life like any other child.
Daddy will be completing “62 Miles October Challenge” which is fundraising for Diabetes UK because we don’t want any family to feel as devastated and overwhelmed as we did and hoping for a cure one day. Diabetes UK supports families, funds research and works towards a future where no child has to go through this.
Thank you for supporting this cause so close to our hearts. 💙
