Story

In 2008 whilst on tour in Afghanistan with the British Army I ran the London Marathon around my base in Lashkar Gar.  To make it interesting I did it in osprey body armour.

On return I broke my back, hip and ankle permanently, the consultant told me I would never run again, especially not a marathon.

Knowing I was coming back out I set myself this goal of doing the same thing again.  Since 2008 they have updated the body armour with heavy side plates for extra comfort.

I started at 5:17am on Sun 17 April appox 2am UK time, it took 6hrs and 25mins, lots of water and support.  On average I drank about a litre of water every mile.  At some points there were at least 10 others jogging with me.

Percy the Penguin also got a piggy back on my shoulders, even though he was sleeping!!!
