Sri Lanka is facing its worst economic crisis in 70 years. The country has been recovering from a thirty year civil conflict. Currently after the Covid 19 pandemic, combined with the political instability of the country the economy is catastrophic. The people of Sri Lanka are struggling.Access to health care and essential drugs are currently severely compromised. The elderly are vulnerable and are often forgotten.

I will be working with HelpAged Sri Lanka (HASL) and Al Ihsaan Trust UK to raise vital funds towards performing free cataract surgeries and mobile medical eye camps for underprivileged senior citizens. The free cataract surgeries are conducted at HelpAged Eye Hospital, Colombo 6 Sri Lanka. The aim is to provide this service for a minimum of 500 patients.

I will be working on ground in Sri Lanka to promote these health care camps. Announcements, leaflets and banners in the village community will be utilised to ensure the highest level of participation.
