The trust aims to support educational causes that were dear to Hazel Scott Aiton, who had taken a gap year in a school in Namibia. It aims to give financial assistance to people embarking on voluntary work overseas and help poorer countries help themselves in the long term through supporting better education.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

After 3 years, we've decided it's time to embark on another idiotic rally half way across the world, using all of our company holiday so that we can cram ourselves into a hot, stuffy, ancient car with two other men. Idyllic.

This time however, we've disposed of the Minis and dreams of Mongolia, and instead opted for a 3 seated, underpowered, left hand drive VW Beetle with our sights set on Cameroon for the Africa Rally 2009..

We will be travelling through France, Spain, Morocco, Western Sahara, Maurituania, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, eventually arriving in Cameroon about 3 weeks later having probably only had a total of 2 showers between the lot of us.

As ever, we have chosen our favourite cause which is very close to all of our hearts - Hazel's Footprints Trust - and for those of you who don't know about the Trust's work or would like to learn more, please visit the website:

In the meantime, please dig deep, sponsor us and wish us luck!!
