I am a private Personal Trainer, currently travelling the world, training my client Michiel van Deursen, to become Ironman - the ultimate fitness challenge. A triathlon of 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22-mile run. 

A few years ago, travel wasn't possible for me, I have beaten the odds and live my life to the absolute fullest now, I have my dream job, I travel, help others become more positive & never give up! 

In May 2012, something happened that meant I had to start taking my health seriously... Chest pains, breathing problems and coughing up blood sent me to hospital. They found 13 blood clots across both my lungs.

May 2013, almost to the day, the same pain. This time they found one massive clot in my right lung, the size of my hand, which caused a lot of damage to my heart and lung. This means warfarin (blood thinners) for life.

The doctors never found a reason behind my blood clots - research is vital. I have no idea why it happened, which is why with careful consideration, Thrombosis UK is our chosen charity!
