Thanks to my friend Brenda I have the great opportunity to ride Jac, a lovely though occasionally  grumpy arabian horse. Being able to venture into the great Scottish outdoors on horseback means a lot to me, and I can't imagine my life without horses. As it happens my friend volunteers for Riding for Disabled Association (RDA), and throughout the years she shared with me wonderful stories of both kids and adults enjoying and benefiting from riding RDA' s horses and ponies. But in order to provide that opportunity, RDA needs help, also towards purchasing and upkeep of the very special equaines, who not only do their job, but also look after their riders. 

I'm very lucky in being an able bodied person, and for me the only barrier to doing all weird and wonderful things I wish to do, is my laziness, occasional lack of motivation and love for chocolate. So I thought that running the River Ness 10k on Sunday the 6th of October will be a great opportunity to support a  wonderful charity, and motivate myself to get off the sofa (and leave that chocolate bar be... well, maybe)! I'll be running with Ladies from Harbro Inverness, who invited me to join their team. We will be wearing black t-shirts with RDA and Harbro logos. So, if on Sunday you find yourself somewhere along the route of the race, or by the start or finish line, please cheer for us.
