We are a 24 hour search & rescue service to save lives at sea

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.

We've finished!!! Three nights ago we were putting together our finishing touches to the route and outfits (some really nice lycra padded shorts!...) Leaving Inverness Castle at 9.15 a.m., a little late due to photos, our longest day lay ahead of us. We got over several long and steep hills, a 2 hour detour and slight worrisome moment at the top of a hill in the middle of knowwhere, we made it to our campsite. With the help of our extremely kind back up team a tent was swiftly erected and bed was soon on the horizon, 50 miles in a day certainly took it out of us! In the morning we allowed ourself a slightly later start following a slighlty shorter, but not less hilly and certainly more windy rout than the day before! We arrived in Kinlochourn and the midges took hold driving us into the car as we waited for a boat (which eventually arrived!!) An early start this morning menat we were over on the Inverrie side of Knoydart by midday where we were reuinted with bakckup and an arrival party. Cycling the final few miles down to Inverrie pier we were on our last legs but a warm welcome from the Mallaig Lifeboat team made it all worth it! In the end our total mileage was 101.6 miles and we loved every minute, apart from the hils and the midgies!...

Our aim is to raise as much awareness and funding for the RNLI as possible as our entire country is indebted to the couragous service the organisation provides, saving lives every day. For this they deserve recognition and help for funding the amazing service they provide!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
