Story
About us: We are an independent local charity working in the community to support older people, their families and carers. We want everyone to be able to love later life.
Our story: Since the outbreak of Coronavirus, we have been working tirelessly to support the older community in Bristol and now we need your help to keep our service running. Age UK Bristol has launched a Coronavirus Support Hub for older people in the city, providing practical, social and emotional support. With the Government’s recommendations for social distancing for people over 70, Age UK Bristol's services are playing a critical role in supporting older people at a time when they need it most.
Every pound counts. We’re determined to be there for older people who need our help and especially those who have no one else to turn to, but we desperately need your support.
£10 could enable one of our workers to deliver a food parcel to an isolated older person
£15 could pay to answer three calls to our advice line from vulnerable older people needing information and support on how to cope during this crisis
£20 could pay for two weekly befriending calls to self-isolated older people who have no one to turn to
