Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organisation that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. We save the lives of malnourished children. We ensure everyone can access clean water, food, training and healthcare. We enable entire communities to be free from hunger.

Story

A bunch of us from AgFe and some of our friends are going to cycle 100 miles through London in August to raise money for Action Against Hunger - an international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger around the world.

AAH runs long term programmes all over the globe benefiting millions of people each year.  Some of us have been involved with the charity for quite a few years and, in our view, it is a fantastic and well run organisation backing a cause which is definitely worth supporting.  Two of us spent a week with AAH in Ethiopia this year looking at a variety of the wonderful projects that they have set up and were very inspired.  (If you would like to hear more or see some cool photos then email us on aah@agfe.com).  On our return we thought that this sponsored ride might be a nice way to raise awareness of AAH generally and also raise a little money for their important work.

So please donate.  Why?

  1. 100% of the money donated will go to AAH
  2. Your friend(s) will be even slimmer and more good looking after all the training (We know - it's hard to believe that it's possible)
  3. You will be indirectly supporting the country pub industry in Kent and Surrey - this critical part of the training regimen is already well underway after quite a few team training outings
  4. The more money we raise the less likely we are to add photos of us all in embarrassing cycle kit to this site in a desperate attempt to up the amount
  5. Help prove that the irritating and ghastly cliché of middle aged finance guys in lycra can have some small positive impact on the world (ignore if you are a friend of Emma)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.

Thank you!
