Every day 29,000 people in Birmingham live with sight loss. We support people with visual impairments and other disabilities, together with their carers, to live fulfilling and independent lives by providing services that reflect their wants and needs.

Story

UPDATE: We have successfully completed the Three Peaks Challenge!  We had a fantastic time training for the event and working as a team toward completing this brilliant challenge.  Thanks to all who sponsored us and also those who provided support and encouragement.

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

We are Alastair Denniston, Geraint Williams and Matt Edmunds. We are eye doctors working in the Academic Unit of Ophthalmology of the University of Birmingham, based at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.

In support of our local eye charity, Birmingham Focus, we plan to undertake the arduous "Three Peaks Challenge" between 4th and 5th June 2011.  This involves climbing up and getting back down from Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales, all within a 24 hour period.

We're training hard and are keen to do well!

So please dig deep and donate now.
