At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Hitachi Solution Europe are excited to announce that Young Lives vs Cancer is our chosen UK charity partner of the year!  We will be working together to host events, take on challenges and volunteer to help the charity continue to be there for young people with cancer.  Helping them and their families to find the strength to face cancer and everything it throws at them.

So, I along with four others are leaving London on the 7th of September and avoiding any mishaps will arrive in Paris at the weekend that is three hundred miles!

We hope to raise as much money as possible but as little as £10 can make a difference as it could pay towards an hour of care from the team around a family, so that they have the emotional and financial support they need from Young Lives vs Cancer.

While £26 could pay for an hour of a Young Lives vs Cancer Social Worker’s time. They will aim to speak with children and young people with cancer, and their families, soon after diagnosis and help them to understand and cope with the emotional, practical, and financial effects of cancer, through treatment and beyond.

£38 could pay for a family to stay overnight in one of Young Lives vs Cancer’s Homes from Home, providing free self-catering accommodation near to specialist children’s cancer treatment centres, which are often many miles from a family’s own home. Head to our website to find out more about our homes from home – you can even take a virtual tour of one of our properties online.

£100 could pay for a Young Lives vs Cancer grant. Cancer can have a huge effect on a family’s finances and a Young Lives vs Cancer grant is offered to children and young people with cancer, and their families, as soon as they come into contact with us to help meet the sudden extra costs that a cancer diagnosis can bring

Wish us luck but more importantly please support me with any donations you can!
