A Helping Hand at St Paul's, Ashford Hill · 5 June 2022

St Paul's is a lovely Victorian Church set in a rural Hampshire village. As well as it's primary religious role, it also regularly hosts various community activities from art and craft events to concerts. The church has many wonderful architectural features and is home to "The Black Christ" in the David Wynne chapel. St Paul's has great potential; but for the Church to continue to offer and develop a Spiritual and Community life for everyone it needs major repairs and renovations. The electrical and lighting system must be replaced as does the large rotten wooden floor in the nave. It also requires inside toilets and kitchen. Please help us to raise the necessary funds. Many thanks

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

There are many people local to where we live who are fearful of the rising cost of living, particularly of food and heating. This is likely to become even more of an issue during the forthcoming winter of 2022-23. Through our local churches, St Paul's in Ashford Hill and St Peter's, Headley, we want to help people in need, be they young or old.

The Chancellor has recently given a generous handout universally to all people to help with the increasing cost of living, even to those who are fortunate enough to withstand the financial gales that are about to hit us. Heather and I want to use at least part of our handouts to help others in need.

We ask you to join us in this Helping Hand initiative.
