Story
On the 1st November 2011 my amazing Grandad passed away whilst under the care of Farleigh Hospice. Even in his final days he was still managing to make us, and the nurses who cared for him smile.
Whilst my grandad was an incredibly brave man who fought his cancer until the very end, I truely believe his final days would not have been as peaceful had it not been for the amazing nurses at Farleigh. Not only did they care for my Grandad in his final weeks, they also cared for us family too.
Farleigh only receive 40% of their funding from the NHS. The rest is made up from fundraising events and donations. Farleigh rely on the community to raise £7,850 A DAY just to keep their services going.
This is why on the 9th of December I am going to be dressing up as santa and joining hundreds of others to run/jog/crawl 4km round central park. Any amount of money you can spare to sponsor me would be greatly appreciated by me, farleigh hospice, my family and my Grandad in heaven. Thank You x
