Story
Life is too short not to pursue your big dreams! "A hike for life" is a project about challenging yourself and not giving up even if you face adversity. From being an active student, my life took a dramatic turn in November 2021. I was hit by a car when biking on my way to university and thrown four meters into the air and landed straight in the asphalt. This resulted in several injuries. I had to go through a long period of recovery, but I quickly decided to make the best of the situation. Setting big goals has always been an important factor in keeping my motivation up through difficult periods.
After the accident, my parents bought a treadmill so that I could run in a safe environment, and it quickly became my new best friend. Since my injuries still limit me from fulfilling my most extreme ideas, I must be creative! One day while running, I got an idea how I could reach my big dream of "climbing" the world's highest mountains and at the same time raise money for the matter of my heart. I have now been approved for a record attempt by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title entitled "The fastest time to climb the Seven Summits on a treadmill". Specifically, it means to “climb” the highest mountain on each continent, which corresponds to a total of 43 313 meters of elevation. The accident inspired me to change my field of study because I want to become like one of the superheroes who saved my life. All money from this charity goes directly to Doctors Without Borders who do a fantastic job of providing lifesaving healthcare to those who need it the most. "A hike for life" is not just about surviving, but about making the most out of life. I hope to inspire others to see opportunities instead of limitations, climb their own "mountains" and at the same time contribute to making the world a safer place. All the money goes directly to helping people affected by war, conflicts, and disasters, and will be used where the need is greatest.
I hope you will support this important work!
