Story
Hi everyone. Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. Those of you who know me will know that I’ve been living with breast cancer for the last 8 years. You’ll also know that I love my bike, so I jumped at the chance to combine the opportunity to repay the skills and help that have kept me going for this long, by riding 1000 miles on a shiny new Harley, with other women who have all been through the same experience. This year's UK ride will run from Aviemore to London from August 26 - September 1 and will benefit Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity as well as Amazon Heart Trust UK.

I sincerely hope that by participating in this ride, we can raise awareness of breast cancer, particularly amongst younger women and prove that life does go on after a diagnosis of cancer – people often assume that cancer means your life is over, when in many cases this is so far from the truth. The physical and emotional effects of treatment can often mean that the joy goes out of life; hopefully a large group of breast cancer survivors on Harleys, all having the time of their lives, will prove that this doesn’t have to be the case.
As some of you may know, I've recently been laid up with a broken hip. However, everyone treating me is going all out to get me fit enough and I've been very good and have been doing my phisio. I will still be doing the ride, so please continue donating.
Please dig deep and give generously. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Visit www.amazonheartthunder.org for more information on this very special event.
Many thanks to you all for your support
Sally
