Story
I'm taking on a 24 hour challenge, to ride the length of the country on a £300 motorcycle, without using motorways. Its about 900 miles, on a rubbish bike of questionable reliability, through the British weather.
That's the easy bit. The hard bit is endured every day by the brave people going through the uncertainty of diagnosis and treatment of the many forms of the disease, or people watching loved ones take on the toughest battle they will ever face.
I've lost great friends and family to cancer and I'd like to help, in some way, to change the odds for patients now and in the future. This event is generating new funds for the charity and I want to see if I can help John's team crack the £100k mark, which would be a real result.
I did this event in 2015 (the other way) with a couple of mates and managed to complete and raise a significant amount for the charity. Sadly these mates got a bit wet (they know who they are) and have chickened out, so I'm taking up the challenge again on their behalf, in the hope they will help me fundraise through their contacts. If we do well I will showcase their generosity!!!! If not, I will expose them ruthlessly....
If you are able to help with a donation, I would be really grateful, and you would be putting your hard earned cash to great use investing in everyone's future.
Thanks. Aid.
