Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My brother in law, Mickey, died in 2019 from lung cancer at the age of 54. At the end of his life, he received incredible support from Marie Curie. I would like to recognise their fantastic work, supporting those living with terminal illness, allowing them to live their remaining days with dignity.
Over the past year I have continued to support Marie Curie’s fundraising activities but the environment has been extremely tough. Through a range of events, such as street collections and looking after the Daffodil Appeal in West London, I managed to raise £1000. This compares with more than £8000 last year which involved much less effort. This highlights the difficulties that charities are facing during the Covid pandemic. They need our support more than ever.
THE 10Kg CHALLENGE 2020
For the past few weeks I have started a new fundraising challenge which also involves getting back in shape. According to the NHS BMI calculator (I have tried others as well but they all say the same thing), I need to lose 10Kg (just over 1.5 stone) to get back to my ideal weight. If you are able to support me in this challenge, please donate on this page. I do realise that this is a very difficult time for many of you so please only give if you can.
The new routine will involve a mix of daily exercise and a change in diet- if it works, my book and video will be out next year 😊. I will post results each week on this page.
