Story
On the 20th August this year, myself and my husband Mike and my brother Fearghal are going to do a Parachute Jump from 13,000 ft to raise money for the Children's Heartbeat Trust.
Our son Conan was born in July 2015 with a heart condition called 'Coarctation of the aorta' along with 2 holes in his heart, which meant he had to have life saving open heart surgery at just 4 days old in the Evelina Children's Hospital in London.
Although Conan's heart defect was detected at our 20 week scan, nothing can really prepare you for what lies ahead. We also have another son Michael Og, who was looked after by family while we were in London.
Conan was born on 6th July, and we were transferred to London by Air Ambulance on 8th July, with surgery taking place on 10th July.
Conan's surgery was successful, and we are very lucky to be celebrating his 2nd birthday soon. With the help and support of the Children's Heartbeat Trust, we made it through this journey and we would like to raise some money in order to help other families who are going through the same experience.
Any donation, would be greatly appreciated and come along to watch us jump out of a plane!
We also will be having a street collection in Maghera on Sat 22nd July, so if you are driving through and have any spare £ to throw in, please do.
Much appreciated,
Convery/McIlvar Families
