The Brain Tumour Charity London Marathon 2022 team are raring to go and ready to defeat brain tumours sooner! We can't wait to take on the 26.2 mile course through the streets of London on Sunday 2 October 2022

Story

I am humbled and honoured to be running the London Marathon on Sunday 2 October 22 for the Repper Brothers Fund, a supporter group of The Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of the inspirational Ali Repper,.

Ali was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour at the age of 24 in 2013 and tragically died 5 years ago, leaving his loving family and many friends way too soon.  I was fortunate, like so many to meet Ali and although only briefly, he and his amazing mum Linda, made a lasting impression on me.  I am forever grateful to them for changing my outlook on life.  Ali and his brothers Steven and Graham raised and are still raising a phenomenal amount of money for the Brain Tumour Charity always putting others before themselves. As part of his fundraising Ali completed a 10K run after having a seizure half way round and another with a fractured leg. A year after Ali died I ran with Ali's Athletes in the 2018 Baker Hughes 10K to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.  From there I joined Jogscotland Westhill and was introduced to social running and beautiful routes.

I can  never thank you enough Ali.  You gave so much in such a short time and touched the lives of so many with your humour, courage and selflessness.
