Story

So, you all know I would be doing the Ironman anyway. I'm hoping to qualify for Kona this year, and thank you so much to all of you who supported me by donating to Cancer Reserach UK and SwimFree in 2012.

Whatever this year holds for me, I want the work I put into this Ironman to be doing something positive; namely donating money to Cancer Research UK. When my Grandad died, 4 years ago now, he wanted donations made to Cancer Research UK in his memory, and when our good friend Acer Nethercott died this time last year, it just brought the charity even closer to home for me. The mnore money they get, the more resources they will have to put towards finding more, better treatments for cancer.

Most of you will now know what an Ironman is, but for those of you that don't, an Ironman consists of 3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42.2km run (a marathon...). I have now done 3, with pretty heartbreaking results. Hopefully this year will be my year...

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I really hope you think this is a worthwhile cause and are able to support them and me in memory of some really great people :)

Lots of love
