In December my beloved grandad Albert passed away. Anyone who knows me will know how close we were and how much he will be missed. In September we were all in Cyprus together, Albert was enjoying 3 course meals, swimming in the pool and even partaking in alcoholic beverages. It is so hard to believe he is no longer here. But thanks to the St Davids nurses, Alb was able to stay out of hospital and be with his family in his final days which was so important to him. Although I have completed half marathons in the past, this is the first one I am attempting since having Tomos in May 2011. Not only am I starting from scratch, I only have 5 weeks to do it!!!! Although I am finding the training hard, this is my way of thanking St Davids for taking such good care of Albert, and to also keep his memory alive and do something that he always supported me in.
