Coast to Coast Walk
Campaign by Dementia UK (RCN 1039404)
From September 13th -17th, The Dementia UK Development Board completed the Coast to Coast Walk - 190 miles from St. Bees Head to Robin Hood's Bay. The goal was to raise awareness of Dementia UK and, of course, raise funds for its work.

Story

Dementia UK is a national charity whose specialist dementia nurses provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia including Alzheimers disease. Their nurses, called Admiral Nurses, give people the quality of care that we would all want for ourselves and our loved ones. But right now, they cannot reach everyone who needs their help. As a group, we are taking on a very special challenge to raise money for this incredible charity. The Coast-to-Coast Walk, on 13th-17th September 2021, will challenge us for five days; in four/three teams, we will collectively walk the 190 miles from the Irish Sea at St. Bees Head to the North Sea shoreline at Robin Hoods Bay. We know that together we can make a real impact on the lives of families facing dementia. Any amount you are able to give will make a difference, and get us closer to our all-important goal, giving thousands more people affected by dementia the life changing care that they need.
