Story
If 2020 taught me anything, it’s that I should value things that I would normally take for granted. My health, my happiness, endless time… however upon reflecting on these things, it made me more aware of the fact that there are others who are struggling, mentally or physically and how time is so precious. I thought about how I could help make a change however big or small to those suffering with terminal illness and then I discovered The Little Princess Trust. After researching their charity and reading all of the stories of people who had donated their hair to this great cause, I was inspired.
I have decided to donate a portion of my hair to this great charity, however considering that we are in lockdown and that hairdressers are currently not open, I will be honouring the hashtag #letitgrow. This will allow me to try and grow my hair out longer so that I can hopefully donate more hair when it’s time for the chop. I don’t need my long hair, not when there are those who need it more. If my donation can help put a smile on a young child’s face, then that’s all that matters.
It costs the charity from £550 to provide a real-hair wig free-of-charge and they supply over 100 wigs every month. Any donations you can give, no matter how big or small, would be very much appreciated!
Thank you!
