Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 27th July, 7 of us from The Ainscough Group are due to take on the National Three Peaks challenge.  Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges it will test our limits both physically and mentally.  The challenge takes on the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m), and we have to do all this in 24  hours!

This years charity is Wigan Youth Zone but in particular Bernard’s Wish, named after Wigan Youth Zone supporter and Board Member, Bernard Edmunds, who has been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. One of  Bernard’s key aims in the time left to him is to raise £25k to fund WYZ’s  work for children with special needs and mental health issues.

Wigan Youth Zone is a purpose built, state-of-the-art youth facility in Wigan town centre which opened in June 2013. It offers young people
from across Wigan the opportunity to meet friends, have new experiences, learn new skills and access the support they need to develop and achieve their potential.  Their aim is simple, to provide the town’s young people with somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to.

We thank you so much for donating to this great cause.
