Story
In August I will be jumping 10,000ft from a plane to raise money for Lancashire Mind!!
I have decided to do this for a charity close to my heart to help raise money and awareness for the daily struggles someone has with mental health and all those who suffer in silence.
On the 12th July 2017 sadly my step father committed suicide at the age of 50 without leaving any signs of struggling with his mental health, after this my whole world came crashing down and I struggled to return to work and continue with a normal life. Which is one major reason I have chosen to do this in memory of him.
My mother also struggles very much with mental health and has spent a lot of time in and out of hospital under the complex mental health and crisis teams in Preston.
As we all know the suicide rate is rising across all the UK with a reported 6,869 suicides reported in 2018 with the highest rate of these being Men aged 45-49.
Every donation can help with this and all proceeds will be going towards Lancashire Mind to help support individuals within Lancashire fighting mental health and raise public awareness of Mental Health.
