In memory of Mrs A Okponobi

Sarcoidosis is a rare disease and has poor information, support and little research for finding a cure. We work to change that. Our 4 goals; information, support, awareness and research. We receive no government money and are reliant on your generosity. Every donation makes a huge difference.

Story

Aisha Datubo is a Sarcoidosis warrior. She has had to deal with her chronic condition whilst working, running businesses and managing a home and general family life. She has done all this while battling with symptoms such as:

• Body ache • Muscle weakness • Joint pains • Lymphadenopathy  • Chronic Fatigue • Headaches • Dry eyes • Shortness of breath • Blurry and poor vision • Occasional high spiking temperature • Bell’s palsy • Hearing issues • Loss of sense of smell •     Nasal stuffiness and hoarse voice • Occasional tingling in the legs and face • Occasional pain in the bone • Night sweats

Aisha's mum passed away in April 2018 battling most of these same symptoms and more of her own personal ones including cataract, and glaucoma without a firm diagnosis. This Just giving page is in honour of her.

With this condition being one that is extremely difficult to diagnose, Aisha’s aim is to share her experience with others, and to fund research, promote awareness and support those who are or think they may be suffering with sarcoidosis.
