Story
Last year I took part in the walk for dementia and played my part in raising funds for Alzheimer's society.
What struck me most when fundraising was all the amazing stories I heard from all sorts of people. It turns out I know so many people who have been effected by dementia in some way, either living with it or caring for someone who does. The stories and strength shown by these people was so touching and inspiring that when I had the chance to do something again to raise funds and awareness I jumped at it!
So please, if you can spare anything, donate. It all goes towards research and support.
If you can't donate you can still educate, look up becoming a dementia friend, it's free and easy and you will learn something new including how to support people in your community.
